It's 4:30 pm, and my boys have just woken from their naps, so they're still sleepy, docile, introverted. It's cold outside, and a fire is crackling in the hearth. Ben will be home in about an hour and a half, so I don't have to worry about dinner just yet. We can all just watch cartoons together, snuggled up on the sofa.
When is your favorite time of day?
probably right after dinner. even if my kids have been bickering all day, they usually run to go play together. without even being asked! and randy and i enjoy listening to them and having a chance to talk for a minute - sometimes accompanied by coffee and dessert...which is always yummy. ;)

First thing in the morning - Addison always wants to cuddle with his blanket and his bottle. We lay on the couch for about 15-20 minutes with no lights on and the TV remains off. These are just about the only minutes of the day when I am surrounded by QUIET!

Is it bad if my answer is when all the kids fall asleep at night?! That's my favorite alone time of the day. But I too would say that it's when they wake up, whether that's in the morning or after nap, they are all warm and cuddly!

Melissa: Your evenings sound much more relaxing than ours. I'm usually cowered on the couch trying not to get struck by a flying object or body as the "men" are wrestling or fighting on the living room floor.=)
Kristen: Treasure those moments... that was always my favorite time with my first baby, too!
Steph: Not bad at all... we'll only judge you a little for it. Seriously, though - I love being with my kids more than anything but that's still a moment I look forward to ALL day (and it's never long enough=).

I know this sounds selfish, but most definitely after all the kids are in bed at night. It's the ONLY time it is quiet here, and I actually get to sit down and just chill. Some days I count down the minutes til bedtime! Literally!

V and I like to snuggle up in her bed and read a chapter book for about 30 minutes each night...I think that's my favorite time of day with her! My favorite time with Tim is after V's in bed and we are both finished with work and just relaxing together on the couch. :)
