Okay, so that doesn't have to be the name... but it's catchy, no? I was thinking - actually it was Sara Beth's suggestion - about starting an on-line book club. Basically, we could read one book a month, and then we could report back on a certain day. Anyone who blogs can write a snippet about what they thought of the book. And if you don't blog, then you can give your two cents in the comments section.
Anyone game? Let me know by Friday, along with your suggestion for a book to read.

i'm in sounds like fun

I'm in too, but I think you'd better work on that name! I'm not sure I'd wanna be telling people that I'm in the Hoochee book club!

Count me in! You can even keep the name, I think it's kinda funny explaining it. Or not explaining it. Don't have any suggestions yet though. But I'll think about that one.

I'm in and I really have always wanted to be in a Hoochee Club:)
Perhaps some of the other moms over at Beach Babies will join too....

I'm in. Why don't we start with a classic? Something Austen...? Too cliche? I'm up for anything!

I'm totaly in...I din't have a suggestion though...maybe I can think of something...right now I can't wait to read the next books in the Twilight series!

I'd love to do the book club! What a great idea! My suggested book is Peace Like A River by Leif Enger. Here is the Amazon link:

I would love to join and I think the name is funny! :) I would love to read any Jodi Picoult book - they are addictive. :)

I'm in. No suggestions. It would be nice to not start a book in the middle of the series since some or most of us may not have read any of the prior ones. Just my two cents.

Sounds like fun! I'd love to join. As for books, there's so many good ones--i'll have to think on that :)

I want to enjoy reading, I really do, I just doubt that I could follow through with this. Let me try and then I could always drop out if I needed to. Okay, I'm in. I have no suggestions, but this would be good for me and I think a month is a reasonable time to read a book.

Definitely, Caroline. There's really no pressure or accountability... just something fun to try doing together!

I think that sounds like fun. I've wanted to join a book club for a while but the meetings never worked out for me.
As for book suggestions is there a certain type of book you're looking for or want to avoid?

I'd loooove to! I don't have any good suggestions though, everything I've tried to read since The Twilight Saga has paled in comparison...... Don't change the name, it's fun to explain:)
Posted by: April | November 25, 2008 at 10:28 AM
Meg: It can be any kind of book, really. I just thought if everyone gave a book suggestion, then there would be something for everyone. We'll just create a random list with all our picks.

Lemme try this again..... I left a comment and it was there, then poof! it wasn't...weird....
I would love to join!!!! And I like the name,it's fun! I have no suggestions at present.....everything I've tried to read lately has paled in comparison to The Twilight Saga. But, I'm willing to try...:)

I would be game! I can't guarantee I would stay with everyone, but I would love to try!

I would be interested too. I would probably be out for the month of December since I am busy getting ready for our Christmas bash. After that I am game.

I love the name and I'm in! Not sure how much I'll be able to read or how often…I’ll do what I can :)

Hey, guys! Count me in! I would be up for anything as long as it does not have anything medical!!! Nursing has ruined me from House, ER, and really anything medically related!

Yes, I would LOVE to join an online book club. No meetings to attend, can post thoughts online, sounds perfect. Shadow of the Wind is a great read, anything by John Irving...I'll read whatever you choose.
