This month, Wyatt's teacher is putting a big emphasis on thankfulness and kindness. She's especially interested in the children's random acts of kindness, like the things that aren't required of them already or they don't practice on a daily basis. For every act they get a feather with their name on it, which makes it fun for the kids.
Since Wyatt hasn't been at preschool for a couple of weeks, we had no idea. But he's been practicing some random acts of kindness on his own. One of my favorites happened just the other day.
Wyatt saw Dylan trying to climb down a big ledge all by himself. He called to him, "You need some help Buddy? I'm coming!" Taking Dylan's hand he said, "Here, Dylan. Here you go. Good job." Then he looked at me and said, "See that, Mom? Dylan did it. He's a big boy."
I smiled and nodded. But I wasn't sure which of my boys had just acted bigger.
